Find companies and brands that have banned all tests on animals—and companies that haven’t.
PETA’s Ultimate Cruelty-Free List is the only international program that doesn’t allow animal tests for any reason anywhere in the world. It includes companies and brands that have verified that they and their ingredient suppliers don’t conduct, commission, pay for, or allow any tests on animals for ingredients, formulations, or finished products anywhere in the world and won’t do so in the future.
PETA’s “Companies That Do Test on Animals” list includes companies and brands that are known to conduct tests on animals or allow them to be conducted in areas of the world where these tests are still required.
PETA’s “Companies Working for Regulatory Change” list recognizes companies that conduct tests on animals only when explicitly required by a regulatory authority and that are actively working to end these requirements.
Is the company you’re looking for not on the list? That’s likely because it won’t respond to requests for its complete policy, or it does not sell in an eligible region, which includes the U.S, Canada, India, and Germany. Please e-mail or call these companies and urge them to join PETA’s Ultimate Cruelty-Free List.
PETA campaigns and pressure from consumers have persuaded most cosmetics and personal care–products companies never to test on animals or pay others to test for them.
Regulatory and chemical agencies in some countries, including China, Russia, and even the European Union, still require tests on animals.
